Antique Triple Lava Cameo Brooch
A Beautiful Pre-Loved Antique Cameo Brooch Featuring Three Oval shaped Cameos encased in Pinchbeck ( Pinchbeck is a form of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc mixed in proportions so that it closely resembles gold in appearance. It was invented in the early 18th century by Christopher Pinchbeck, a London clock- and watch-maker). The Three Different Coloured Cameos are carved from Coloured Limestone. The Coloured Limestone was considered to be the "Lava" of Mount Vesuvius and was a reminder of the sinking of Pompeii in 79AD.
